User Management
Controlling who can access the OmniFleet platform and what they can do.
What is User Management?
User Management is the administrative center for controlling access to your OmniFleet platform. It's where you can invite new team members, see who has access, and define what level of access each person has.
Why is it Useful?
Proper user management is critical for security and operational efficiency.
- Security: Ensures that only authorized personnel can access your sensitive fleet data. You can remove access instantly for employees who leave the company.
- Delegation: You can grant specific permissions to team members, allowing them to manage certain aspects of the fleet without giving them full administrative control.
- Collaboration: By inviting team members from different departments (e.g., maintenance, dispatch, management), you can create a collaborative environment where everyone has the appropriate level of access to do their job.
The User Management Page
Path: /users
This page is organized into two main tabs to give you a clear view of your users.
This tab lists everyone who has successfully registered and can currently log into the platform. This is your main view for managing existing users.
This tab shows all the invitations you have sent that have not yet been accepted. From here, you can see who might need a reminder, or you can revoke an invitation that is no longer needed.
How to Manage Users
Inviting a New User
- Navigate to the Users page.
- Click the Invite Users button.
- Fill out the invitation form.

- Click Send Invitation. The user will receive an email with a unique link to create their account and set their password.
Updating an Existing User
As an employee's role changes, you may need to update their permissions.
- From the Active Users tab, find the user you wish to modify.
- Click the icon for that row.
- Select Edit .
- You can change their assigned Role or Access Level.
- Click Submit to save the changes.
Deleting a User
When a user no longer needs access to the platform, you should remove them.
- Find the user in the Active Users tab.
- Click the icon.
- Select Delete .
- Confirm the action. This will immediately revoke their access to the platform.
