Device Management
Registering and managing the physical GPS tracking devices.
What is Device Management?
Device Management is where you maintain a digital inventory of the physical GPS tracking devices that are installed in your vehicles. Before a vehicle can appear on the dashboard map, its tracking device must be registered here and associated with the vehicle record.
Why is it Useful?
This module is the critical link between your physical assets (the vehicles) and the digital platform.
- Activates Tracking: Registering a device is the first step to enabling live tracking for a vehicle.
- Inventory Control: Keep a clear record of all your tracking devices, including their serial numbers, models, and which vendor they came from.
- Lifecycle Management: Track the status of each device, whether it's currently active in a vehicle, in storage, or out for repair.
The Device Management Page
Path: /devices
This page lists all the tracking devices your organization owns.
Searching and Filtering
- Search: You can quickly find a device by searching for its Serial Number.
- Filter by Status: Use the filters to see all devices with a specific status, such as "Inactive" to find devices that are available to be installed in new vehicles, or "In-Repair" to track devices that are currently being serviced.
How to Manage Devices
Registering a New Device
- Navigate to the Devices page.
- Click the + Add Device button.
- Fill in the device's details.

- Click Create Device to save the registration.
Updating a Device
You might need to update a device's status, for example, when it's removed from a vehicle for repairs.
- From the device list, find the device you wish to modify.
- Click the icon for that row.
- Select Edit .
- Change the Status or other details.
- Click Update Device to save your changes.
Deleting a Device
If a device is lost, stolen, or permanently decommissioned, you should remove it from your inventory.
- Find the device in the list.
- Click the icon.
- Select Delete .
- Confirm the action.
