Administration
Group Management
Organizing vehicles into logical groups like branches or departments.
What is Group Management?
Group Management allows you to create logical collections of vehicles. You can group vehicles by any criteria that makes sense for your business, such as the branch they belong to, their operational department, or their vehicle type.
Why is it Useful?
Groups are a simple but powerful tool for organizing a large fleet and controlling user access.
- Simplified Filtering: On the main dashboard map, you can filter to see only the vehicles in a specific group, like "New York Branch," giving you a focused view.
- Targeted Reporting: When running analytics, you can generate reports for a specific group of vehicles to compare performance between departments or regions.
- Delegated Administration: This is the most powerful use. You can create a "Branch Manager" user and grant them "Group Access" to only the group of vehicles that belongs to their branch. They will only be able to see and manage the vehicles in that group, not the entire fleet.
